About The Key Davis Family its many Branches and Twigs

The Key Davis Family Tree and its many branches was Compiled by Family members who all contributed to the information.I have named it Key Davis because they are the two principal names.Key for my husband and his ancestors Davis For Me and My ancestors.I should of named it the never ending story because that is what it is. When I started out on this venture I was looking for Ancestors, but what I found was vibrant living people who lived and loved had their own problem and heart breaks just like us.Now I find when I look at the pages their they are all alive not just ancestors . To those family members who think it is a waste of time I say you do not know what you are missing out on. For all the others I say look and enjoy. I also have small branches and twigs that I think are inportant in the whole Picture. As they are connected to other parts of the Family This tree is a closed tree to protect members of the family who wish to remain Private It has been made for the Enjoyment of all family and extended family members, and any member of the family may participate in helping more There are lots of twists and turns in our family Including Skeletons, Noble English families, English Farmers, Catholic Irish, Orange Irish, German Jewish Naval men who comanded ships With lord nelson and Irish farmers who migrated to Australia during the potato Famine. We also have families in The united States and the Bahamas,Bermuda and New Zealand. Our Irish Cloherty family parted company in so much as some imigated to America and the others to Australia. The American clan changed the Phonic sound to Cloughty. The majority of them live in Boston and some are connected to the Boston Fire Service One of our Cloherty Ancestors Lived On Morton Island in Queensland Looked after the lighthouse and government offices. He could of written a book on stories he told of storms and wrecked vessels His daughter has a headland named after her. Another Branch of the Key Family lost three sons from the one family in World War 1. My husband tells me that one of the ancestors of the key family Claims he was a warlock.an interesting thought. Henry lee Davis was born a Jew but became a Christian when he married. Henry and his wife Charlotte Freemantle Came to Australia Steerage in the 3rd quarter of the 1880's. One of Charlotte's Ancestors had Fremantle in Western Australia named after him. I have much pleasure in mentioning Barbara Stride (Nee Catchpole) Beth Davis/Greta (Cloherty) Brown, and Margaret Brown who have tirelesly compiled their ancestors which are included,All The relatives, friends who have helped break the brick walls down. One Brick Wall that has elluded me for years Has been well and Truly crumbled by Marilyn Dean another removed cousin on My Freemantle side,All The Freemantles I could ever immagine ,Well done Marilyn, Last but not least my good friend Anne Ludstrom, who started me off on this Venture without them I would not of been able to Build this Tree and hopefully make it grow. Family History Is very addictive, since I first began about 10 years ago I just don't seem to be able to leave it alone .When you think you have finished you find there is so much more to be done. I am in my twilight years of life, and am hoping when I have gone that all the work and effort(our Labour of Love) from so many of our family will be carried on by another member of my family, who will Get a lot of Joy and Pleasure in delving further into the past to find our trees, branches, twigs and our fallen green leaves.
